Our role as a podiatrist offers the opportunity to be proactive rather than reactive in the management of your child. This allows opportunity to correct deformity early and maintain normal foot function in adulthood. Often only reassurance and postural exercises are needed, but sometimes physical therapy is required.

Dry Needling
Dry needling uses thin monofilament needles to penetrate the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger points for the management of various musculoskeletal pain and injuries such as Heel pain, Achilles Tendinopathy, Shin splints, Ankle pain etc. This results in increase blood flow, decrease tightness and reduce local and referred pain. We usually use it in conjunction with muscle strengthening and stretching programs to help you with your pain management.
Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT)
Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT) refers to gentle, small passive movements of the joints in your feet. Our podiatrist's are trained in FMT, which allows us to determine areas of joint restrictions and help improve the mobility and joint congruency. This results in reduce pain, increase mobility and allows muscles to work more efficiently.
Footwear Advice
You have been told that you need to wear 'better' shoes but don't know where to start? We can help you with your shoe wear fitting as well as give you foot wear recommendations based on your needs. Whether it be for going back to school, for work or just your everyday casual shoe. We can help you learn about what to look for in a shoe and what style of shoe would best suit your foot type and activity levels.
Diabetes Assessments
Diabetes assessments are crucial to diabetes management and should be done on a regular basis. Nerve damage (neuropathy) and poor circulation (blood flow) are common causes of diabetic foot problems. We assess your circulation and nerve function to find out if you are at risk of developing lower limb complications such as wounds/ulcers.
Annual Checkups
Our feet are generally the last thing we think about as we generally only give them attention when we start to feel any pain or discomfort.
This is why an annual check up is so important, especially if you have certain health conditions that can really affect your feet such as diabetes.
Our trained and experienced podiatrist are able to provide annual check ups to determine whether you are at low/moderate/high risk of developing any lower limb complications and provide you with advice on how to keep your feet healthy.
Home Visits
In Home Podiatry was established to service individuals who are unable to travel to a podiatry clinic for treatment. Our service includes travelling to aged care facilities and home visits throughout Adelaide metropolitan area including the northern suburbs, western suburbs, eastern suburbs and southern suburbs.
If it is your first time with us, the initial home visit session will be longer than recurring sessions as it includes an assessment of your condition, understanding your medical history and setting up goals and expectations.
Our friendly podiatrist will bring their own sterile equipment and treatment will be carried out in a room that both you and the podiatrist consider convenient.
