Payment

All outstanding accounts are required to be settled on the day of the consultation. 


We accept all different methods of payment including:

  • Cash

  • Cheque

  • EFTPOS

  • American Express

  • MasterCard

  • Visa

Concessions Rate

Concession rates are available to

Health Care Card, Pensioners, Government Seniors Card holders and full-time tertiary students.

 

Cards must be presented to claim a concession.

Cancellations

We understand certain situations arise and you will sometimes have to miss your appointment.

 

If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 12 hours notice to avoid cancellation fees and allow us to help others.

​

If an appointment has been booked and confirmed. Failure to be at home when a podiatrist attends will result in a cancellation fee of $100.00. 

Podiatry Referrals

We accept the following referrals: ​​

  • DVA Referral: We bulk bill our services to those who have a valid DVA referral.

  • Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Referral / Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Referral: We DO NOT bulk bill with this referral.

    • There is a $66.90 travel and administrative fee per appointment.

    • Please ensure Medicare has your updated bank details. We understand Medicare payments can be confusing, please give us a call for any enquiries. 

  • Home Care Packages (HCP) Referral: From your nominated organisation

  • National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS) Referral: Self managed or plan managed referrals from another provider and pre-arranged through NDIS.​​

However, if you are under the programs of EPC / CDM or DVA, you cannot accept your booking if we do not have a referral that is in date (12 months from when the referral was written). 

Private Health Insurance

For self funded visits including using your health insurance please contact us.

 

As we are a mobile service we do not have a portable HICAPS machines. All invoices will need to be paid in full on the day of the appointment and an invoice will be provided to you to claim back via your chosen health fund. 

Safety Protocols

Your health and providing you with quality treatment is our priority, however, our wellbeing is important too. 

Therefore for our safety, we do have a no violence protocol during home visits and our podiatrists come with a personal safety alarm which alerts us when they are feeling threatened.

If we feel you do not comply with our safety procedures, we have the right to reject or remove you from our services .

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist or a podiatry home visit?

​You only need a GP referral if you are on a Enhanced Primary Care Plan or if you have a DVA card. No referral is necessary if you are seeing us privately or if you have a Home Care Package or you are a NDIS participant. ​

How much does

an appointment cost?

Depending on the appointment and travel time, a home visit appointment can cost between $135-$155. 

What do I need

for my appointment?

You do not need anything for your appointment. Our podiatrists at In Home Podiatry bring all the tools and equipment needed to carry out a thorough assessment and treatment at your appointment.

How do I pay

for an appointment?

As a mobile business we do not carry around an EFTPOS machine, however we do accept bank transfers or cash. Watch this space because we are working on a project to make payment more convenient for you.

Is podiatry covered
by Medicare?

We are not a bulk billing clinic which means we charge a gap payment for travel time/costs and administration fees. If you have an Enhanced Primary Care Plan a portion of your fee is covered by Medicare. However you will have to pay for the entire amount upfront and claim it back via Medicare. 

Do I get the same level of care
from home visit as a clinic appointment?

Definitely! At In Home Podiatry are very thorough and do not rush appointments. All our podiatrists carry the tools and equipment needed for professional podiatry appointments.
